This window is in the back on the east side of the church in the room devoted to children and parents. This window is not easily visible from the main body of the church. The rose symbolizes the Virgin Mary, purity, and heavenly joy. In connection with Mary, it is usually shown without thorns. She is sometimes called the "rose without thorns." (R. Taylor's How to Read a Church.) St. Brigid is one who called the Virgin a blooming rose. With St. Brigid we ask for her prayer. May we always offer safe space for the laughter as well as tears of children.
